We have had reports that when using a DK38 dongle on certain laptops running Windows 2000 prevents the laptop going into standby (power saving) mode. We have contacted DESkey the makers of the dongle and they have confirmed this is a problem with their driver version 4.53 and although they have investigated this problem they currently have no workable solution.
If you really need your laptop to go into standby mode and are running AlphaCAM, a DK38 and Windows 2000 then please contact your local dealer and exchange your dongle for a parallel DK2.
