Many AlphaCam Users ask how to easily remove the comments from the NC Program produced from AlphaCam. If you use AlphaEdit to send the code to the machine, then these are automatically stripped out and not sent to the Machine Tool. However, many people do not use AlphaEdit because they have some other kind of DNC set up. In this instance we just want to send the NC Text to a certain file on a certain drive, less the START, Operation List and Comments. Simply open the Post Processor and set $540 to 1.
Add $540 if not there. Don't forget that the default file extension is .ANC, so either put the File Name between " ", or register your required file extension in Windows Explorer. Alternatively, output as normal and use a PortaDisk Option in AlphaEdit. This will strip comments etc. and save to the necessary folder.
