Alphacam is Not Visible

Alphacam can become "invisible" when running dual monitor PC's.  If Alphacam is closed while residing on a secondary monitor, the next time it is launched, it may not be visible.  Follow the instructions below to restore Alphacam to the primary monitor.

  1. Right-click in the Windows System Tray (the clock on your Windows Taskbar)
  2. Click on Task Manager
  3. Within the Windows Task Manager, click the Processes tab
  4. Select the Alphacam process (e.g. ACAM.EXE, AROUTAPS.EXE, AMILLAPS.EXE, etc.)
  5. Click the End Process button and accept the confirmation to end the process (if more than one Alphacam process exists, do this for each of them)
  6. Download the required registry file here
  7. Unzip the download file to desired location (e.g. Your Desktop)
  8. Double-click the extracted .reg file to merge the settings into your registry (this will clear the saved Alphacam window position)
  9. Restart Alphacam

Note that this fix does modify your system registry.  Always take caution when doing this.  If you are not confident in performing the steps above, please contact your system administrator for assistance.
