VBA 6 Installation Error

To eliminate the VBA 6 installation error which can sometimes occur during Alphacam installation, VBA must first be uninstalled from the system.  Alphacam should then install without this error.  

To do this, simply follow these steps…

  1. Insert the Alphacam CD into CD drive
  2. Click on the Windows Start button and then Click on Run
  3. Type “msiexec.exe /x [CD DRIVE]:\AlphaCAM\VBA6\vba6.msi” into the Open field.  Note that you must replace [CD DRIVE] in the above command with the actual letter of that drive.

For example “msiexec.exe /x D:\Alphacam\VBA6\vba6.msi”

  1. Click OK and wait for the uninstall to complete
  2. Run Setup.exe from the Alphacam CD to restart the Alphacam installation.
